Quiltfolk Magazine

I was recently introduced to the existence of this magazine due to a wonderful “happening” here in Kentucky to one of our “own”.  KHQS Past President, Sue Marshal, will be part of the October issue of this phenomenal magazine.  For those of you, like me, that have not seen this magazine, please check it out https://www.quiltfolk.com/ .

This magazine is more like a book, there is beautiful photography, wonderful stories behind the making of quilts, and no advertising. It is published 4 times per year and each issue focuses on one State.  The crew from Quiltfolk were here in Oldham County this past Saturday on a beautiful April day.  They have been traveling throughout Kentucky for the stories that will appear in the October issue. A Kentucky issue would certainly need horses, and Sue welcomed Mary Fons and the rest of the crew to her farm where they collected stories about Sue, quilts, and horses all in one place.

Check with your local quilt shop to pick up a copy. It is also possible to order one issue through the Quiltfolk website or sign up for a subscription. These magazines, I believe, can easily become collector’s items.
