The KHQS 2022/23 Mystery Quilt Challenge is HERE!! Register NOW!!
You have heard the buzz, quilty bees. Now it is time to register for the KHQS 2022/23 Mystery Quilt Challenge.
The Mystery Challenge, designed by award-winning quilter, teacher and KHQS member Mary Bauer, will challenge and intrigue you, perhaps teach some new skills and will enhance your quilting techniques. Mary and her mystery team led by Kathy Wantland are busy assembling your clues and preparing for the November 1 launch.Many more details are coming, but here’s what you need to know now:
The Mystery Quilt Challenge is free and a benefit for all KHQS members, so you must be a member to participate. The Mystery will begin November 1 and run through April, allowing time for you to assemble your top and have it ready to display at Getaway 2023. You will receive clues via email, and once a month the Mystery Quilters will convene via zoom for support and sharing. Some critical pieces of this mystery will actually be mailed to your home, so it is important for you to register for this event.
Once you register, you will receive a Welcome Packet by email (on October 10th) that includes additional information and a fabric key so that you can begin searching your stash or shopping for just the right fabrics. The Mystery will offer options for you to choose alternate blocks if you find any of the clues too challenging. But remember, you will also have the monthly zoom call to get tips, tricks and support from other quilters.
